Freethinker (free) 04:27
Somebody sent me an email...a long letter to rally..it was either from Michael Moore or some fanatic Christian lady who says we'll have another 9/11 if we don't have prayer in schools I forget which one I guess it really doesn't matter Probably best that way Walk on the road less traveled On her way to the demonstration, she passed a billboard recruitment telling her to tune to 560 AM because the "liberals hate it!" She scoffed, flicked her cigarette butt out the window, and tried to remember what she was going to protest against Angel on one shoulder Devil on the other Each one pushes me To be one or the other Freethinker And I can't help but wonder, amidst all of this, if the u had been followed by an n instead of only an s. But don't let em catch you wondering...somebody will jump down your throat, man...heaven forbid a consideration--must be from the other side Angel on one shoulder Devil on the other Each one making me out To be one or the other Freethinker

Comes Again (free) 06:18
Wait for the rest of them to come and see it like you do Take on the best of them with sticks and stones and a homemade slingshot And comes again Beleaguered friend I know this scene My eyes have seen You've got to reach out your hand if you want to see a change The other ones accused of tearing down Captain Construction The other ones sure seem to be handed such power again And comes again Beleaguered friend You know this scene Your eyes can see You've got to reach out your hand if you want to see a change

3 Wishes (free) 04:14
3 wishes...that she was granted 3 wishes...of the goddess of the sands 3 wishes...she imagined 3 wishes...of the emerald trance 3 wishes...of the mythical dance Never...never came true Never...never came true If I can count it, if I can devour it If I can touch it, if I can consume it Swept up in the fantasy of a promise Chase elusive, as she seduces, to bulldoze those in her way

2nd story window On a precarious ledge Overseeing the scene It's the village of the people Pocketed life That's begun to breathe With the sounds of a 3-piece jazz band Moving coolly to the street And the cats are doing their thing On this warm summer night in Chitown There's a pulse that beats on the sidewalks, and in the bars and cafes, and the two and three flats of the people And up on the second story ledge...overseeing it all...with his tail swinging down above the outdoor seating...is perched Mooks the cat.

Good Heavens! (free) 03:17
He came down with a crocodile smile and an interstellar agenda A promise to take back the night When everybody's out of sight It's the moment he's been waiting for As soon as they walk out of the door He came down with nothing to prove, only to give the golden moment its due Never witnessed by the rest of the world Spinning lights, spacesuits, and polyester unfurled Solitary celebration of sweet-threaded lore Intergalactic decorated floor Butter smooth and robotronic Astairean electrosonic Stellar celestial stereophonic He came down when no one else was around, he's got his own route to town He's a time warp fantasy come into his own And he's as retro as a rotary phone He's righteously reclaiming his throne All to no one's delight but own

Into the Tunnel (free) 06:24
Semi-guilty of holding on to a picture I subscribe to the longitudinal nature Do I long to bail out with you again? Evacuate with you when the crowd begins to tremor? For was it better in a day devoid of tomorrow? Do I see clearer knowing that under the lacquer? There's a fine line between reflection and reminiscence But at long last, the final blow pushed me over For was it better in a day devoid of tomorrow? Do I see clearer knowing that under the lacquer?
